Another animation, another culture
The anime is a genre very popular in this country. Consist in Japanese animation. I remember, when I was a child, watch every day in the channel 9 a lot of anime’s serials like Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk, Heidi, Marco, Dr. Slump, Kinnikuman, samurai X, and a lot more.
I’m not a big fan of this kind of animation, I prefer the stop motion technique, but I must to confess my love for many anime’s films. For example, the movies of Hayao Miyasaki, the creator of the serials Heidi, Marco, and Connan of the future, it’s one of my favorite directors in the history of cinema.
I remember the first time when I saw “Spirited Away”, film of Miyasaki (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi) in the year 2002, after the Oscar awards when the film won like Best animation feature. My first reaction after the projection was found the other movies of this director, and after that I became a fan.
I believe the anime had something special. It’s very much sophisticated than American animation. The Japanese’s people are very stricter with the bottom of every frame. When the Americans only put emphasis with the characters and objects, the Japaneses put emphasis in every detail. Look at the example than I put under.
The anime is very interesting, had a lot of kind of histories, and it´s incredible. I recommend all the students of Cinema and TV watch anime, specially the films of Miyasaki or the movie “Akira”, a masterpiece in my opinion. And of course everyone must to see the Dragon Ball saga, maybe the best children’s serial of the history, especially Dragon Ball Z.
