Another animation, another culture

The anime is a genre very popular in this country. Consist in Japanese animation. I remember, when I was a child, watch every day in the channel 9 a lot of anime’s serials like Dragon Ball, Slam Dunk, Heidi, Marco, Dr. Slump, Kinnikuman, samurai X, and a lot more. I’m not a big fan of this kind of animation, I prefer the stop motion technique, but I must to confess my love for many anime’s films. For example, the movies of Hayao Miyasaki, the creator of the serials Heidi, Marco, and Connan of the future, it’s one of my favorite directors in the history of cinema. I remember the first time when I saw “Spirited Away”, film of Miyasaki (Sen to Chihiro no kamikakushi) in the year 2002, after the Oscar awards when the film won like Best animation feature. My first reaction after the projection was found the other movies of this director, and after that I became a fan. I believe the anime had something special. It’s very much sophisticated than American animation. The Japanese’s people are very stricter with the bottom of every frame. When the Americans only put emphasis with the characters and objects, the Japaneses put emphasis in every detail. Look at the example than I put under.
The anime is very interesting, had a lot of kind of histories, and it´s incredible. I recommend all the students of Cinema and TV watch anime, specially the films of Miyasaki or the movie “Akira”, a masterpiece in my opinion. And of course everyone must to see the Dragon Ball saga, maybe the best children’s serial of the history, especially Dragon Ball Z.

Let’s save the environment

Today the world is in crisis, but not for a war, or for the “2012”. We are in a big trouble with the environment. Today, the levels of pollution and smog are dangerous, and the global warming is a fact. The fifty percent of the animals are in danger of extinction, and we have the days counted if we don’t do anything to revert this problem. It’s the time to act, to help for resolve this big problem. It’s not so difficult, is all about good will. How can you help? It’s very easy. In my case, I do many things to help. In first place I recycle everything I can. Glasses, tins, papers, batteries and plastic. Every day I classified the garbage and the recycling stuffs. This is very useful to help the environment. We need green areas to survive, and if we help to not cut more unnecessary trees to make paper, we are making a lot. In second place, I always walk to the University, the distance it’s very short, and I can do exercise too for my healthy. And when I have to travel more distance, I use the public transportation system. It’s very healthier for the air use one big car to transport a lot of people than use a lot of little cars to transport the same numbers of persons. We need to save fuel. Other mechanism to help is saving energy in our homes. If we are not using the computer or the light in a room, we can turn it off for the moment. Is not necessary have all the things turn it on If we are not used that. I invite you to help. Let’s save our patriotic animal. Let's save the Huemul

The Best Music Ever

Here I’m again writing about my favorite music age ever, the sixties. Is in this years when my favorite bands born. In the 1963 “The Beatles” had recorded his first album, “Please, Please Me”. Is in 1967when “The Doors” played “Light my fire” in the bars of London. Is in 1963 when “The Rolling Stones” took “I Wanna Be Your Man” of The Beatles to start his career. And many others bands and singers like “The Animals”, “Pink Floyd”, “The Mamas and The Papas”, “Peter, Paul and Mary”, “Bob Dylan”, “Credence Clearwater Revival” and “Cream” appears to form part of the musical history.
I love the power of these bands, and their importance to the society. In 1969 “Jefferson Airplane”, “Jimi Hendrix”, “Janis Joplin”, “Gentle Giant”, “The Who” gave us the most important concert in the history of music. A concert for the love and peace, against the Vietnam’s war. I’m talking about “The Woodstock” festival. Now the music is very different. The bands don’t have the power and the influence to the world of music. Now the music it’s a product more of the market, and the level of the songs are very sadder. I can find in this days the influence of The Beatles in the 80% rock bands in the actually. These bands are part of my life. I can’t walk without the music of the sixties, and the only kind of music I can dance is the rock ‘n’ roll of The Beatles and Buddy Holly. Sometimes I believe I was born in the wrong decade. Love and peace

Scorsese will be recognized at the next Bafta Awards Ceremony

One of my favorite directors of cinema’s history is Martin Scorsese. I love his films, specially “Taxi Driver”, “Goodfellas” and his last documentary “George Harrison: Living in the Material World”. For this reason I’m very glad with this news. Finally Martin Scorsese will be honored in the next awards ceremony “Bafta” this year.
The Bafta Awards it’s a ceremony where a group of British critics gives to the best movies of the year an important price. It’s considered like the “British Oscars” in the world of cinema.

In the past, this important price was received by great directors like Alfred Hitchcock, Charles Chaplin, Steven Spielberg, Judi Dench, etc. And I believe than the talent of this director is not minor in relation of these others, so is very compressible this election for this year.

This award is part of the many recognitions than Martin Scorsese had receive this year, like the nomination to the golden globe awards with “HUGO”, one of his lasts films in three dimensions, for example, and is very probably than Scorssese get a nomination to the academy award like best director for this work this year.

After the announcement, Scorsese said to the press: "It is a great honor to be recognized by the British Academy and to join the ranks of such an esteemed group of industry colleagues and friends."

This ceremony is going to be realize on Twelve February at the Royal Opera House in London, and the complete list of nomination will be publish on Seventeen January.

GOOD FOR SCORSESE
